Venerable Meevathura Vajiragnana Thero is a highly respected Buddhist monk and community leader with over 33 years of continuous dedication to Buddhist education and social service. He holds a degree in Religion and Administration from the University of Peradeniya, and is a guiding light in both spiritual and administrative realms.

Venerable Vajiragnana Thero was a close spiritual advisor to Hon. D.M. Jayaratne, the founder of the Ambuluwawa Religious and Biodiversity Complex. From its inception, he has:

• Advised and guided the creation of the complex

• Led all religious activities conducted on the Ambuluwawa premises

• Played a pivotal role in establishing inter-religious harmony and peace at this multi-faith site
