The Ambuluwawa Trigonometrical Station in Gampola is a prominent tower with a twisting design reminiscent of a Buddhist stupa. Additionally, Ambuluwawa Tower has a Hindu kovil, a Muslim mosque, and a Christian Church, all within approximately 5 kilometers of Gampola’s town center.

How to travel from Kandy to Ambuluwawa?

The distance from Kandy to Ambuluwawa is 24.8 kilometers. If you use public transport, your first journey will be to Gampola. From there, it is a 5.2-kilometer trip from Gampola Railway Station to Ambuluwawa Mountain Hill. Transportation modes like tuk-tuks or taxis are available from Gampola town to the Ambuluwawa temple.

For travelers leaving Colombo, Ambuluwawa is approximately 85 kilometers from Colombo.
